Beta 3 Scrapped, Stable Release Coming Next

Added by Mike VM 39 days ago

Beta 3 has been scrapped. No more features will be added, and just a few minor bugs will be fixed. 3.0 stable will be released soon, and will possibly (most likely) be the final version based on this code. I'm looking to expand the program to more operating systems, so I'll be going for a cross platform solution in the future.

Hope you enjoyed using the program, and thanks to all who have helped/used it during its creation.

Third Beta Coming

Added by Mike VM 80 days ago

3.0 Beta 3 will have a new installer and fix the updater. I am also reworking the main menu and button layout slightly. I plan on adding a few helpful features and finishing up the conversion log code. I also plan on implementing the configuration file code soon.

Stay tuned!

Second Beta Ready

Added by Mike VM 106 days ago

Version 3.0.0b2 is ready, and will be updated on the official download page shortly. Consider this Release as a minor update with a few important bug-fixes.

Note: if you were using 3.0.0b1, and received odd files in the primary drive (usually the C drive) with random names like the following: sbw_[random numbers].sbw, (example sbw_1234.sbw) in most cases, you can safely delete these. They are temporary files created by SBWin, and due to a software bug, were copied to the wrong location. Beta 2 seems to fix this issue.

SMD BIN WIN Renamed and Reloaded

The next versions leading up to the stable 3.0 release will address many problems found in previous versions of the application.

The entire program was nearly rewritten from scratch to be quicker, smarter, and more usable than ever before. No longer is the user presented with a simplistic, clunky looking interface. I have decided to go for a modern, professional look with the 3.x releases, that is easier to see, use, and navigate.

Improved Features:
  • Redesigned user interface, with modern Windows styles support
  • Better error handling
  • File conversion stability improved
Brand New Features:
  • File compression
  • File identification
  • New conversion core (more stable)
  • Mixed conversion (convert mixed file types all at once)
  • Software Updater
  • Much more
